DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team slugged 20 hits in a 20-10 rout of Bellarmine in the 2025 home opener on Wednesday afternoon at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium.

Adin Zorn led the offensive outburst with five hits and five RBI, while fellow sophomore
Ryan MacDougall went 4-for-5 at the plate with four runs scored and two RBI. Freshman

Michael DiMartini (2) also had multi-hit performances.

The Flyers jumped ahead early with eight runs in the first two innings of play. UD sent 18 hitters to the plate in the first two frames, getting eight hits and capitalizing on four free passes to build the early advantage.

After the Knights plated a pair in the top of the fourth, Dayton put the game out of reach with a five-run fifth and a seven-run sixth.

Jackson Duncan threw the first four innings and struck out one, while freshman right-hander
Michael Dudolski pitch two innings and struck out win to earn his first collegiate win.
