Men's Tennis Set For Action-Packed Weekend

Flyers Face Cleveland State, Duquesne, and Saint Francis During Three-Day Stretch

DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team has a busy weekend, traveling to take on Cleveland State on Friday, Duquesne on Saturday, and closing out the weekend with Saint Francis on Sunday.

The weekend begins with a trip to Cleveland, Ohio to take on CSU at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion on Friday at 7 p.m. The Flyers then travel to Wexford, Pa. to take on Duquesne on Saturday at 2 p.m., and finish the weekend against SFU at the Alpha Tennis & Fitness of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Sunday at 9 a.m.

The Flyers are coming off a dominant win against IU Indy, winning the match 6-1. That victory helped improve their record to 3-2 on the season. In their last match, the Flyers dominated singles play, with every player securing a victory and not dropping a single game.

Sophomore Mikkel Zinder is coming off his second Atlantic Player of the Week nod of the season. The Richboro, Pa. native continues his impressive 2025 campaign, going 3-0 in singles to move to a perfect 5-0 in dual action this spring.

Cleveland State began its spring season with a loss at Indiana and has also faced Butler, Purdue, and Notre Dame. Its most recent match was a setback at Notre Dame for its fourth consecutive loss on the year.

Duquesne is coming off a dominant first win on the season when it defeated NCAA Division II Ashland 7-0. The Dukes lost their first three matches to start the spring campaign against Notre Dame, Western Michigan, and Buffalo.

Saint Francis enters the match seeking to rebound from its fourth loss of the season. The Red Flash most recently fell to Le Moyne 5-2, bringing their record to 1-4. Saint Francis has also lost to Navy, Bucknell, and Binghamton, with its only win coming against Siena.
