Box Score CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team continues its winning ways, winning a nail biter against Cleveland State on Friday, pulling off a 4-3 win over the Vikings at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
The Flyers secured a thrilling victory, fueled by their strong performance in singles matches, winning three key spots. Freshman
Sturle Skigelstrand fought through a hard-fought battle at No. 3, emerging victorious in a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 showdown. At No. 2, sophomore
Mikkel Zinder dominated with a commanding 6-3, 6-4 win, and freshman
Kaia Mendibe followed suit with an impressive 6-3, 6-1 triumph at No. 6.
Dayton also secured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Zinder and sophomore
Eric Suk claimed a 6-3 win at No. 2, while junior
Sai Dore and Skigelstrand sealed the point with a 6-4 triumph.
