WEXFORD, Pa. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team improved to 2-0 on its weekend road trip after a dominating performance against Duquesne on Saturday, finishing with a 7-0 sweep over the Dukes at the Oxford Athletic Club.
The Flyers handled the singles competition with ease, sweeping all six spots. At No.1, sophomore
Kyle McNally dominated with 6-0, 6-1 wins, while sophomore
Mikkel Zinder claimed a comfortable 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 2.
Freshman Sturle Skisglestrand battled through an intense match at No. 3, winning 6-7 (5), 6-0, 1-0 (5), and junior
Sai Dore was able to pull through 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (2) at No. 4. The freshman duo of
Alfons Ridstrom and
Brady Hussey were able to win comfortably in straight sets. Ridstrom won 6-1, 6-2, and Hussey secured a 7-5, 6-0 victory.
The Flyers started the day by earning the doubles point with another sweep with wins at No. 1 (6-2) and No. 2 (6-2). McNally and Hussey teamed up as UD's top pair, and Zinder and
Eric Suk won at No. 2.

The Flyers finish their busy weekend tomorrow with a match against Saint Francis in Pittsburgh, Pa. at the Alpha Tennis & Fitness of Pittsburgh at 9 a.m.
