BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The University of Dayton baseball team mounted a valiant comeback at Bowling Green on Wednesday afternoon, but ultimately came out on the short end of a slugfest, 11-9, at Stellar Field.
The Flyers jumped ahead in the top of the first thanks to freshman
Rylan Lujo's third home run in the last two games, but Bowling Green struck right back with a four spot.
BG pushed its lead to an 8-2 advantage when UD began to chip away, scoring runs in the fourth and fifth to make the score 8-5. Another two-run frame from the Falcons made it an 11-5 ballgame heading into the ninth.
Junior
Dyrenson Wouters smashed a three-run homer to bring the Flyers back within two, but unfortunately would get no closer than 11-9.
