KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Dayton softball team is on the east coast this weekend for an Atlantic 10 series at Rhode Island. The Flyers and Rams will play three game at URI Softball Complex March 22-23 and admission is free.

SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND
Rhode Island (5-13, 1-2 A-10) opened Atlantic 10 action last weekend with a 1-2 outing at George Mason. The Rams claimed the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, 7-5 in 10 innings. Kylie Bulinski (.356) leads the URI offense with 16 hits, including four doubles and four home runs, to gow ith 15 walks and 11 RBI. In the circle, Avery Vale-Cruz (2-1) carries the team's low ERA of 3.77 with 31 strikeouts in 26.0 innings pitched.
SERIES STUFF
Dayton leads, 39-22-1
In last season's three-game series in Dayton, the Flyers took the series, 2-1, over the Rams. UD and URI split the doubleheader and Dayton picked up the series win with a 4-1 victory in the finale.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton scored six unanswered runs Wednesday at Miami (Ohio) but the Flyers comeback bid fell just short as the RedHawks were able to squeak out a game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the seventh. Senior pitcher
Haven Dwyer tallied a season-high five strikeouts over three innings and sophomore
Kirnan Bailey went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored, extending her reached-base streak to a team-high 12 games.
