DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team fell to Air Force on Wednesday afternoon, 13-3 at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium.

Air Force jumped ahead early in the second inning with a two-spot, then added another on a rundown play in the third, but Dayton answered back.

Freshman
Alejandro Sardinas singled to center and later scored on an RBI hit to left from fellow freshman
Rylan Lujo, getting the Flyers on the board and cutting the deficit to 2-1.

Sophomore
Michael DiMartini's delivered a clutch two-run homer in the fifth to tie the game at 3-3, but a rough sixth inning for the Flyers offense turned the tide in favor of Air Force, making it a 12-3 ballgame.Â

The Falcons tacked on one more in the seventh to bring the game to its final of 13-3.
