DAYTON – The University of Dayton baseball team busted out the bats in the second game of its series against George Washington, downing the Revolutionaries 22-10 in Atlantic 10 action on Saturday at Woerner Field at AES Ohio Stadium.

Six Flyers had multi-hit performances, including four-hit showings for senior
Mason Dobie and sophomore
Adin Zorn. Dobie drove in a season-high five runs while smashing his fifth home run of the season, and Zorn scored five, drove in four, and hit his fourth home run of the campaign.

Freshman
Rylan Lujo, redshirt sophomore
Bobby Stang and junior
Dyrenson Wouters all had three-hit games, with Lujo and Stang scoring three runs each and Wouters driving in three. Lujo hit his A-10-best 17th double of the campaign, while Wouters raised his average to .440 on the season.
Every Dayton starter reached base at least once in the contest.

Freshman
Ben Dean picked up the win for the Flyers, while fellow freshman
James Heller earned his first career save by throwing the final three innings for UD.

George Washington plated the first three runs of the game, but Dayton struck back with five runs in the first and another pair of runs in the third. GW evened things up at 7-7 when the offense exploded.

The Flyers scored four runs in the home half of the fifth, with two-run doubles by both Dobie and Wouters highlighting the frame.

An inning later Dayton put up 11 runs on 10 hits, with both Lujo and sophomore
Ryan MacDougall getting a pair of hits in the inning. MacDougall launched a two-run shot for his fourth homer of the year, and Lujo drove in two with a double.
