KINGSTON, R.I. – The University of Dayton baseball team was held in check by Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon, falling 8-4 in game two of the series at Bill Beck Field.

Martin Howell led the Flyers at the plate with a 2-for-2 showing at the plate, driving in three runs. Redshirt sophomore
Bobby Stang also had a pair of hits for UD. Sophomore
Adin Zorn scored twice in the contest.

Rhode Island plated seven runs in the first two innings of action, and while the Flyers were able to hold the Rams' offense in check the rest of the way, they were unable to get enough offense to overtake URI.

The Flyers finish their three-game series at Rhode Island on Easter Sunday with first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m. at Bill Beck Field.
