#FlyBoys Held In Check By Rhode Island, Fall 8-4

Martin Howell And Bobby Stang Each Had Two-Hit Games

KINGSTON, R.I. – The University of Dayton baseball team was held in check by Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon, falling 8-4 in game two of the series at Bill Beck Field.

Sophomore Martin Howell led the Flyers at the plate with a 2-for-2 showing at the plate, driving in three runs. Redshirt sophomore Bobby Stang also had a pair of hits for UD. Sophomore Adin Zorn scored twice in the contest.

Rhode Island plated seven runs in the first two innings of action, and while the Flyers were able to hold the Rams' offense in check the rest of the way, they were unable to get enough offense to overtake URI.
