LAKE NONA, Fla. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team triumphed over No. 5 seed Davidson, 4-1, in the semi-final of the Atlantic 10 Championship on Friday night at the USTA National Training Center.

The victory sets up a date in the Atlantic 10 Championship match against No. 2 seed VCU, who topped Richmond 4-2 on Friday.

Dayton locked in a thriller with Davidson from the outset, winning the doubles point in comeback fashion. After the Flyers and Wildcats split No. 2 and 3, with UD's second pair of
Kyle McNally and
Brady Hussey winning 6-0, Dayton found itself behind at the No. 1 pair.
Sophomores
Mikkel Zinder and
Eric Suk battled back to force a tiebreak, then pushed through to give UD the crucial doubles point with a 7-6 (3) win.

In singles, McNally pushed his season win total to 26 with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 1. Freshman
Sturle Skigelstrand won at No. 4, 6-4, 6-2, and fellow freshman
Brady Hussey clinched the match for the Flyers with a 6-1, 7-5 victory at No. 5.

Dayton will match up with VCU in the Atlantic 10 Championship match for the fourth consecutive year. This season is the first the Flyers enter as the No. 1 seed, while the Rams come in at No. 2.
