DAYTON – The University of Dayton softball team is set to close out the road portion of its 2025 schedule this weekend with a three-game Atlantic 10 series at Saint Joseph's. The Flyers and Hawks will play a doubleheader Saturday, April 26, followed by a single game on Sunday. Both are slated to get underway at 12 p.m. at SJU Softball Field and admission is free.

Saint Joseph's (26-19, 13-7 A-10) is currently enjoying a five-game winning streak, including a three-game sweep of George Washington last weekend, and sits in third place in A-10 standings behind Saint Louis and Dayton. Sarah Cancila (.328) paces the team's offense with 44 hits, 35 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. Taylor Trowbridge (10-8) has seen the most action in the circle for SJU, working 106.2 innings and recording 73 Ks.

Last season, Dayton swept its three-game series against Saint Joseph's at UD Softball Stadium April 20-21 and the Flyers have won five of the last six meetings between the pair.

LAST TIME OUT
Dayton was in Akron on Wednesday for a doubleheader against the Zips at Lee R. Jackson Softball Field and the Flyers came away with back-to-back wins. In game one, the Flyers scored the game-winner in the top of the seventh for a 1-0 victory and, in the nightcap, held on for a 9-7 win after the Zips' comeback bid fell short.
