NASHVILLE – The University of Dayton baseball team fell short at No. 17 Vanderbilt on Tuesday night, dropping the midweek battle to the Commodores 9-2 at Hawkins Field.

The Flyers' dynamic duo at the top of the order extended their respective hitting streaks, as sophomore
Michael DiMartini and freshman
Rylan Lujo both registered one hit in the game. Sophomore catcher
Ryan MacDougall launched his third home run of the season, and redshirt sophomore
Bobby Stang picked up an RBI.

Freshman southpaw
