BRONX, N.Y. – The University of Dayton baseball team fell in extra innings in its series opener against Fordham on Friday night, falling 6-5 in Atlantic 10 action at Houlihan Park.

After trailing 4-0 early, the Flyers rallied for four runs in the fourth thanks to an RBI single from
Mason Dobie and a three-run homer from
Bobby Stang.

The two sides traded threats over the next few innings, with UD taking the lead with a sacrifice fly from
Dyrenson Wouters that brought home
Ryan MacDougall in the seventh.

Unfortunately, the Rams pulled even with the Flyers in the home half of the eighth and after a scoreless ninth, kept Dayton off the board in the 10th despite two men in scoring position with nobody out.

Fordham won the game in the home half of the 10th with a bases loaded walk.
