KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The University of Dayton women's cross-country team resumed its season on Friday at the George Dales Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan. The Flyers took fourth place out of ten teams in the event, which featured schools from across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. Five Flyer freshmen made their debuts at the standard 6k distance.
Junior
Bryn Hothem was the first runner to cross the finish line for the Flyers as she finished 14
th in a time of 21:54.3. Following closely behind her in 15
th place was Senior
Marissa Pritchett who came across the line in a time of 21:57.3. It was Junior
Olivia Kindbom who took the team's third spot with a time of 22:40.3 while freshmen
Reese Kohnle and
Abigail Jordan finished within a single second of each other at 22:47.1 and 22:47.9 to round out UD's scoring positions in their 6k debuts. The lone PR of the day came from Sophomore
Mia Gill, who finished in 23:11.2.
