PITTSBURGH – The University of Dayton volleyball team bested Duquesne in three sets (25-18, 25-23, 25-??) to improve to 8-6 with a perfect 3-0 record in the Atlantic 10.
The match started out close, but a 5-0 run late in the first set gave Dayton the set advantage. The Flyers had a 22-19 lead in the second set, but Duquesne attempted a comeback with a 23-22 lead before a three-point run by Dayton added to the advantage. The third set started close with eight tie scores before the Flyers could pull out the win.
Kamryn Hunt led UD with 18 kills with Liana Sarkissian recording a .625 attack percentage, a team-high this season.
