Bennet & Conrad Receive CollegeAdvantage Student-Athlete Of The Week Honors

Dayton Student-Athletes Will Be Recognized Throughout the School Year

DAYTON - University of Dayton men's basketball senior Javon Bennett and women's track and field senior Rebekah Conrad have been named the Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Jan. 19-25.

Bennett averaged 14.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game for the Flyers last week. The Orlando, Fla., native scored 11 points against La Salle and 18 against Saint Joseph's to extend his double-digit scoring streak to 11 games.

Conrad, who hails from Butler, Ohio, finished atop the podium of the weight throw at the Crossroads of America Invitational this past weekend, throwing 18.26m to earn her second victory of the season. She also finished in the top ten of the shot put as she threw a mark of 12.99m to finish ninth overall.
