DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team remains at home to host Loyola University Chicago Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. It will be this month's 937 Night at UD Arena.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton looks to get some momentum as it heads into the meat of league play, coming off its first Atlantic 10 victory over Duquesne last weekend. The Flyers sit at 8-6 overall this season and is 1-2 in A-10 contests. UD has been successful at home so far, going 5-1 this year.

Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her fourth season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.Â
The Flyers are averaging 65.6 points per game and allowing 66.9 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 43.8 percent overall, 31.3 percent from three point range, and 65.1 percent from the free throw line. UD benefits from a +3.4 rebounding margin, but has to overcome a -3.8 turnover gap.

LOYOLA CHICAGO
Loyola Chicago comes to Dayton with a 4-10 record on the year and 0-3 A-10 mark. The Ramblers have actually found more success on the road, earning three of their four wins away from home. Loyola is currently on a three-game losing skid.
Head coach Allison Guth is in her fourth season with the Ramblers, having previously served as an assistant at LUC.
As a team, Loyola is scoring just 52.6 points each outing and giving up 62.9 points to opposing teams. The Ramblers are averaging 36.0 percent from the floor, 24.4 percent from behind the arc, and 63.9 percent from the charity stripe.
The three-headed monster of Alex-Anne Bessette (11.1 ppg), Brooklyn Vaughn (11.1 ppg, 7.2 rpg), and Alexa Kinas (9.4 ppg, 4.9 rpg) power the Rambler attack while Kira Chivers runs the offense with 11 starts.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton defended its home court in a 68-61 victory over Duquesne Saturday afternoon. The Flyers rode a big fourth-quarter to earn the win, outscoring the Dukes 24-12 in the final period.
Molly O'Riordan set a new career high with 23 points.
Loyola hosted Rhode Island Saturday, but was unable to pull off the upset in a 70-58 loss to the Rams. The Ramblers had three players in double figures, led by Brooklyn Vaughn with 17 points.
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Loyola Chicago are meeting for the 28th time in program history. The Flyers have won the last two matchups including last year's contest on Jan. 29 in Chicago, 67-64.
