#UDXC Travel To Joe Piane Invitational

Men And Women Set To Race In Notre Dame Friday

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Dayton men's and women's cross country teams compete in the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, Oct. 2nd at the Burke Golf Course. 

Named in honor of the long-time Notre Dame cross country coach Alex Wilson, this is the 70th annual race hosted by the Irish. 

The Flyers send 12 women expected to compete in the Women's Blue Division 5,000 meter race.  For the men, nine racers are expected to start in the Men's Gold Division 8,000 meter race.  

START TIMES

Women's Blue Division 5,000 Meters: 10:00 a.m.

Men's Gold Division 8,000 Meters: 12:40 p.m. 

LAST OUTING
Both men's and women's teams had Top 10 team finishes at the George Dales Invite in Kalamazoo, Mich. on Sept. 18th. 

The women continue to break personal bests with Sophomore Addison Stephens finishing in 21:49.5 and placing 20th in the women's 6K race. Sophomores Bailey Gross and Ashley Alsko among the five other women who broke 6K personal records in Kalamazoo. 

On the men's side Sophomores Kamden Kramer, Jacob Reash and junior Logan Arnold all had Top 25 finishes in the 8K at the George Dales Invite. Kramer finished in sixth with a 24:58.8.
