NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Dayton baseball team defeated Lipscomb, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon.
The game began in a stalemate, with Lipscomb breaking through with a run in the bottom of the sixth.
In the following side, Martin Howell hit a two-run home run into left field to take the lead. With Dyrenson Wouters on second, a double to right center by Bobby Stang tacked on another run for the Flyers.
Michael Fortes entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning, earning the save.
