DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team has a big two-match weekend, hosting St. Bonaventure and facing No. 1 Ohio State.

The match against St. Bonaventure will take place at the South Regency Tennis Center at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Sunday's match against Ohio State will be at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center at 5 p.m.

The Flyers had a 2-0 weekend on Feb. 14-15, defeating Cleveland State and Butler. Rishi Dore's singles win clinched Dayton's 4-3 win over the Vikings. In the 5-2 win over Butler, Kyle McNally, Mikkel Zinder, Kaia Mendibe and Alfons Ridstrom won their singles matches in addition to the doubles point.

McNally and Sturle Skigelstrand were ranked No. 30 in doubles by the ITA.

St. Bonaventure is 0-7 this season, falling to Buffalo last weekend. The Bonnies will also play Northern Kentucky on Feb. 20 before playing Dayton the next day. In their 6-1 loss to Buffalo, Connor Turner won the Bonnies' only match.

The Flyers have won the last seven matchups against St. Bonaventure. In last season's win, McNally, Mendibe and Andreas Nygaard won in singles play to help Dayton win 4-0.

Ohio State is 10-1 this season, checking in at No. 1 in the ITA rankings. Six individuals are also ranked in singles: Aidan Kim (No. 8), Jack Anthrop (No. 19), Preston Stearns (No. 20), Alex Okonkwo (No. 33), Nikita Filin (No. 71) and Bryce Nakashima (No. 122). In doubles, Brandon Carpico and Filin are ranked No. 1 by ITA, with Alexander Bernard and Okonkwo at No. 16, Kim and Nakashima at No. 17 and Anthrop and Stearns at No. 41. The Buckeyes will also host No. 24 Notre Dame on Feb. 22.

The Flyers are 0-2 against Ohio State, playing them last in 2020, falling 5-0.

Dayton will face Bellarmine on Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. in Louisville, Ky.
