DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team will open the Atlantic 10 portion of its 2026 schedule Sunday as it plays host to conference foe Loyola Chicago. UD and LUC will play a doubleheader at 12 p.m. Sunday and a single game at 11 a.m. Monday. All home games are played at UD Softball Stadium and admission is free. The three-game league series was pushed forward one day due to inclement weather in the Dayton area.

ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (8-5) is coming off a 1-4 outing at Kentucky's John Cropp Classic, closing out the weekend with a 7-2 win over Murray State on Sunday afternoon. The Flyers' offense is paced by junior Deirdre Flaherty with a .378 average and 15 RBI while junior Kirnan Bailey (.357) leads the team with 15 hits, 12 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. UD's pitching corps is led by senior Izzy Kemp (4-1) with a 1.00 ERA and 62 strikeouts over 35.0 innings pitched.

UP NEXT
Dayton will play its first midweek game of the season on Wednesday, a single game against Western Michigan. First pitch between the Flyers and Broncos is set for 2 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium and admission is free.
