LAKE NONA, Fla. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team got out to a hot start in the Atlantic 10 Championship, downing Duquesne with a 4-0 win.
The Flyers clinched the doubles point in 21 minutes, winning 6-0 on the first and second courts.
Kyle McNally and Mikkel Zinder locked up singles points with a 6-0, 6-2 win for McNally and a 6-2, 6-1 victory for Zinder at No. 1 and No. 2. Alfons Ridstrom won by retirement on the fifth court to send Dayton to the semifinals.
UD will face the winner of No. 2 Saint Joseph's and No. 7-seeded Fordham on Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m.
