Kaleigh Meritt have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Sept. 7-13.
Martinez recorded the brace and also dished out one assist for a career-high five points in Dayton's 3-2 win over visiting Butler Saturday night. He recorded both of UD's goals in the match and assisted on the game winner in the 87th minute. The midfielder from Seville, Spain, leads the team with three assists and is second with two goals. Martinez was also named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Meritt came off the bench for the Flyers to tally 20 kills on 45 attacks for a .378 attack percentage. The outside hitter had one ace and two block assists on the weekend. Meritt led Dayton with 16 kills in the five-set win over Florida Atlantic, recording her first double-double with the Flyers with 12 digs.
