Men’s Tennis Sends Three To ITA All-American Championships

Kyle McNally, Sturle Skigelstrand and Mikkel Zinder Will Compete

DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team will be represented by Kyle McNally, Sturle Skigelstrand and Mikkel Zinder at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., beginning on Sept. 19.

McNally and Zinder will compete in the singles pre-qualifier. Skigelstrand will pair up with McNally in doubles play.

This is the first time in program history that the Flyers will have a doubles pair in the event. McNally and Skigelstrand were ranked No. 90 in the ITA's preseason rankings.

McNally, a senior from Algonquin, Ill., will play against Jakub Kroslak from Miami at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Zinder, also a senior, will open his time against Aniss Rafiq from Nebraska at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Last fall, Zinder made it to the qualifying round, being the first for the Flyers since 2018.

In doubles, McNally and Skigelstrand are nine seeds and will face Oskar Jannson and Matthias Uwe Kask from Arizona at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The tournament goes through Sept. 27, with the top 10 singles players and the top five doubles teams qualifying for the NCAA Individual Championship.
