DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team battled toe-to-toe with Saint Louis on Thursday night, coming away with a scoreless draw under the lights of Baujan Field.
UD (4-5-1, 1-0-1 A10) and SLU (5-2-3, 1-0-1 A10) gave fans a taste of everything during the match's 90 minutes, as both team finished with double-digit shot attempts and displayed sparkling defense.

Kasey Cannistraro highlighted the defensive effort for the Flyers, turning in her third consecutive shutout courtesy of five saves. Both teams defense kicked it up a notch in the second half, as multiple blocked shots by defenders on both sides kept the teams from registering a shot on goal.
UD's best chance came in the 77th minute when a shot by
Laney Smith narrowly missed putting the Flyers ahead when it was tipped by a defender caromed off the far post.
Dayton finished the match with more overall shots (13-11), while Saint Louis held the edge in shots on goal (5-1). The Flyers also finished the night with more corners (3-2).
