PITTSBURGH – The University of Dayton women's soccer team came up short at the University of Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon, falling 3-0 at Ambrose Urbanic Field.

The Panthers took a 1-0 lead into the half after scoring their first goal of the game in the 26th minute of action thanks to Adi Bianchin. The two sides played even on the stat sheet in the opening half, with the Flyers trailing just 7-4 after the first 45 minutes of action.

Pitt upped its pressure in the second half, taking 15 shots to UD's two and finishing with a 5-3 second half advantage in corners. Bianchin added two more tallies in the second half in the 51st and 85th minutes to register her first career hat trick.

Avery Strohecker finished the game with a season-high six saves.
Laney Smith registered the Flyers' lone shot on goal for the match.
