Picked to the A-10’s Preseason All-Rookie Team... He tallied two goals and two assists for the Flyers in his freshman campaign...Saw 1,570 minutes of action, the most of any player not on UD’s backline...Posted 10 shots on goal in 23 total attempts...Scored his first collegiate goal, which was also a game-winner on Sept. 26 against UMKC...His other game-winning goal came on Oct. 17 against Saint Joseph’s.

“Marlon is a midfielder who is exceptional at disrupting attacks and then linking play with his precision passing. He is excellent at reading the game and controlling tempo.  He is very deceptive in his aerial game and proven to be very effective on set pieces.”

Prior to UD
The central midfielder was captain of the United States U-17 National Youth soccer program for the past three years...one of six players to play in every minute of the U-17 FIFA World Cup...also competed with the U-17’s in the Concacaf Tournament (Tijuana), Copa Macae (Brazil), and Serena Cup (Chile)...in 2007, led the U-17’s to a decisive win over Brazil at the Nike Friendlies...has 19 caps with the U-17’s, scoring four goals and adding two assists...a member of the U-20 national youth team that competed in the Copa Chivas Tournament...has represented Latino Americana and FC Dallas U-18 Academy. ..TopDrawerSoccer listed him as 6th in the national top 100 boy’s ranking...in 2009, he was one of five finalists for Young Male Athlete of the Year...was also named Parade High School All-American and NSCAA All-American.
