Watkins was key in Dayton’s success...As a member of the defensive core, he helped the Flyers post eight shutouts in the best defensive season during Head Coach Dennis Currier’s tenure at Dayton...Watkins was a Lowe’s Senior CLASS candidate...He led the team in points (8), goals (3) and was tied for second on the team with two assists...Was 1-for-1 in Penalty Kicks...Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV First Team...NSCAA First Team Scholar All-East Region...Voted the Team’s Most Valuable Player.

2009
Was an invaluable brick in the Flyer’s defensive wall that only allowed 6 goals over a 14-game span… started every conference game which helped the Flyers win the regular season Atlantic 10 Championship… named  Dayton’s Defensive Player of the Year… dished out five assists over the season to achieve a season total of seven points… named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 4 First Team, as well as the Academic All Conference Team… scored a  goal in the first game of the season against Cincinnati (Sept. 2)… played and started in 19 games this season for Coach Currier with a total of 1,750 minutes played… named to the A-10 Honor Roll for the third straight semester… also noted for academic success as he was selected to the OCSA Academic All-Ohio Second Team.

2008 
A smart player and mainstay on the Flyer defense, started all 21 games he played and logged 1,842 minutes on the pitch... key component of the UD defense that posted eight shutouts in 2008, including in the A-10 Championship game against UMass...at one point during the season the defense did not allow a goal in 455:05 minutes, all against A-10 opponents which sparked Dayton to an eight-game unbeaten streak ...in 17 of their 22 games this season Watkins and the UD defense allowed opponents just one goal or less...also provided an offensive threat for the Flyers, registering five assists, tying for the team in lead...had the game-winning assist in Dayton's season-opening win over Denver (Aug. 29)...posted four assists against Atlantic 10 opponents, tying him for third in Conference-only assists...also provided the game-winning assist against Richmond (Oct. 10), George Washington (Oct. 12) and Fordham (Oct. 24)...scored first collegiate goal against Robert Morris (Sept. 21)... named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV First Team... named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for both Fall 2008 and Spring 2009.

2007
Played stellar defense to start the season until he was shelved for the season with a broken leg...started in nine games with UD going 6-2-1 with him in the lineup...recorded one assist...made his UD debut at home against Sacramento State...the following game he dished out an assist in a victory over St. Francis (Pa.)...Flyers allowed just eight goals in nine games with him in the lineup.

Member of the USL Super Y League National Team...served as a team captain and earned all-Colonial district honors his sophomore and junior seasons...also ran track and earned all district honors as a sophomore and served as a team captain as a senior.
