Biography

2009
Winner of the team’s Unsung Hero Award, the midfielder had a very productive season for the Flyers… saw action in all 20 games this season while starting 19 matches… accumulated 1,487 minutes played on the pitch… had two helpers, including the go-ahead assist on a corner kick in the 87th minute in a 3-1 victory over St. Bonaventure (Nov. 13),  to help the Flyers capture the A-10 regular season championship… played in every conference game, helping the Flyer’s finish first in the A-10 in total points (119) and total assists (41).

2008 
Providing a strong presence in the midfield, Weiss had a breakout year his junior season...scored two goals, both game-winners, and tied for the team lead in assists, dishing out five...made 18 appearances with starts in 16 matches...tied for fifth in scoring with nine points...his .40 assists per game was seventh best in the A-10 in Conference-only games...scored his first collegiate goal and had an assist in UD's season opener against Denver (Aug. 29) in the Dayton Flyer Marriott Invitational...earned Tournament MVP and All-Tournament Team honors...was recognized for his resolute effort in the Wisconsin Middleton Sports & Fitness Invitational where he played all 200 minutes including every minute of the double overtime tie against the host Badgers and was named to the All-Tournament Team...recorded assists in back-to-back-to-back games against SIU-Edwardsville (Sept. 26), Richmond (Oct. 10), and George Washington (Oct. 12)...had the game-winning assist in Dayton's 2-1 overtime win against Temple (Nov. 14) in the A-10 Championship semifinal... scored perhaps his most memorable goal against UMass in the final - the lone goal and game-winner to clinch the Atlantic 10 Championship.

2007
Filled in toward the end of the season playing both midfield and defense...played in 14 games and made nine starts...finished with an assist and recorded seven shots on the year...made his first start against Sacramento State...made seven consecutive starts starting with a victory at Wright State...recorded his first career point with an assist over Duquesne.

2006
Played in 12 games, starting five of them at the midfield...made his first collegiate appearance against Northern Illinois...first career start came against No. 1 SMU.

Prior to UD
As a senior, Weiss was named First Team All-State, Second Team All-Metro St. Louis and First Team All-Conference as well as serving as team captain...he was also named to the St. Louis Post Dispatch "Top 10 Players to Watch"...was named Third Team All-Metro St. Louis and Second Team All-Conference his junior year...named Third Team All-Conference during his sophomore year, when his Saint Louis University High School won the state championship...played with the Lou Fusz Soccer Club that was State Champs in 2003 and a National Finalist in 2004...Was State Runner-up with Busch Soccer Club in 2002...competed in the 2002 USA Cup where his team finished in first place...Academic honors each of his four years in high school.
