Keating earned a bid to the 2011 U.S. Amateur, becoming just the fifth Dayton Flyer to qualify for the tournament…during the 2011-12 season, he was tied for the team lead in rounds played (26) and ranked second on the team in stroke average (74.6)…24 of his 26 rounds played were shot in the 70s or lower…opened the season shooting 73-73-70 at the UK Bluegrass Invitational and finished tied for third…earned the Atlantic 10's Player of the Week award on September 21, 2011 for the second time in his career...fired rounds of 75 and 76 at the Cardinal Intercollegiate to tie for 41st…finished with scores of 77-76-76 at the Cobra-PUMA Invitational to finish tied for 46th…tied for 10th at the Bearcat Invitational with scores of 71-77-70…tied for eighth at the UD Fall Invitational with rounds of 71-75…opened the spring season with his first career championship winning the Butler Spring Invitational…he shot a career-best 66 and a 76 to win medalist honors… won the Atlantic 10's Player of the Week award on March 20, 2012 for the third time in his career...tied for 39th with rounds of 74-73-73 at the NYX Hoosier Invitational…added scores of 79-83-83 to tie for 70th in the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate…tied for 80th at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational after tallying scores of 75-74-74…tied for 36th at the Atlantic 10 Men’s Golf Championship with scores of 74 and 76.

High School
A St. Xavier High School product in Cincinnati, Keating is ranked in the Top 10 of the NJGC Ohio junior rankings in 2008. A member of the 2008 Division I Ohio State Champion St. Xavier golf team, Keating is a First Team, Division I All-State selection. A First Team, All-City and GCL selection, Keating recorded the lowest stroke average (74.5) in school history during his senior season.
