Biography
1. Why did you decide to play tennis at UD?
I decided to play tennis at UD because the aspects of the team. They seemed to be nice, encouraging and hardworking. Also looked at the academic side of it, UD is a great school, being able to play tennis here is an added bonus.
2. Apart from tennis, what is your favorite sport?
I always enjoyed playing basketball. I grew up playing.
3. What is your dream job?
At this point I'm not too sure what my dream job is, but i believe I'd like to work in the medical field, or hospital environment.
4. What is your major and why?
My major is Psychology (science), I plan to double major with Psychology and Pre Medicine because I would like to help all kinds of people.
5. Where have you/where would you love to travel to and why?
I haven't traveled much, but I would love to travel to Paris. Taking french for three years in high school brought to my attention the beauty in the city, and conquering my fear of heights by going to the top of the Eiffel Tower would be quite the feat.
6. What is your favorite part of the game?
My favorite part of tennis is the feeling of accomplishment you get after playing a long match and coming out on top, knowing that you trained for that, but not only did the training bring you out, but the mental stability of the game. Another favorite, maybe even more so than the other, is being able to work with another person so intricately, knowing how to set up points and cooperate with eachother in order to win, using each others strengths and helping weaknesses.
7. What is the best part of being a UD Flyer?
The best part of being a UD flyer is the amount of new people you meet. Being an athlete has enabled me to meet so many people that i wouldnt have met otherwise. As well as building a family away from home, the team.
8. Who do you admire most?
I admire Jeremy Ellis most. A recent tennis coach of mine who was remarkable in his abilities to teach and prioritize. Having a wonderful family and yet able to make sure his players reached their full potential. He truly cared and loves the game.
9. What are your goals for the2011-2012 season?
My goals for the season are to improve and become a better/more well rounded player.
