Wampler redshirted his first season at Dayton.

Selected to First Team GCL, First Team All-City, and First Team All-State Tounament... Was a two-time Ohio State Champion, participating in the only class in Moller baseball history to repeat as state champions... Had a .370 batting average... Recorded eight doubles, 20 RBI, nine hit-by-pitches, and a .540 on-base percentage... Member of a Moeller team that had a 25-6 record his junior year and a 32-2 record his senior year.
