In four years of baseball, Cannon was a three-time Al-League selection in the Muskingum Valley League as well as a participant in the Southeast Ohio District All-Star Game
As a running back for the Panthers, Cannon was twice a first team All-State selection as well as being a two-time Player of the Year in the MVL
Took home All-League honors in basketball, and was named New Lexington's Scholar Athlete of the Year his senior year
