2011
Lowry ran in six varsity races for the Flyers. Lowry finished in second position for his squad three times: he ran a time of 24:53 at the National Catholic Invite, 25:36 at the All-Ohio 8K, and 25:15 at the A-10 Championships. Lowry ran an impressive mile pace time of 5:06.3, the second fastest pace for the Flyers. He is among the ten men from the current Flyer team to be awarded a “Harrier Hero” award, and has the 5th fastest time overall on the list of 35 men. In addition, he also set the 16th best All-Time 10K Time.
2010
To start his sophomore year, Lowry cut his 2009 finish at the Flyer 5K in half, taking 14th place with a time of 15:36. The next week, at the Mel Brodt Invitational, Kyle again placed 14th with a time of 25:27, good for 4th best on the team and fast enough to beat his personal best time from the previous season by 23 seconds. At the 2010 National Catholic Cross Country Invitational, Lowry led the Flyers to a 3rd place finish, taking 23rd place in a field of 285. At the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championship, the Flyers placed 2nd out of 9 teams, and Lowry played a pivotal role by finishing with the team's fourth best time of 25:26.6, also his personal best.
2009
Lowry burst onto the scene with a 28th place finish in his first collegiate meet, recording a time of 16:00 at the season-opening Flyer 5K. He competed in all but two of the Flyers’ meets in 2009. Lowry worked his way to a 27th place finish and a season-best time (25:50) at the Mel Brodt Invitational. He was also a strong performer at his debut conference meet, finishing 54th overall in a time of 28:18.
High School
Lowry was an All-SWC Conference selection in 2006 and 2008...He was a conference champion in the 3200 meter ('07 and '09) and 1600 meter ('09)...Was on the honor roll all four years at Amherst Steele High School.
