Appeared in all 20 games the Flyers played this year, starting 16,  allotting a total of 1,410 minutes throughout the season… was a main reason the Flyers led the A-10 in points as he finished tied for second on the team with 15… scored six goals, three of which were game winners, adding three assists to reach this mark…. chipped in the game-winning goal in a tight 1-0 double overtime victory over UMass (Oct. 11) which lifted Dayton’s streak to seven straight wins…  was a Preseason All Conference pick after being selected to the Atlantic 10 Second team in 2008…. was named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 4 First Team as well as candidate for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS  award… was awarded two conference awards for his efforts on and off the field during the season, being named to the Atlantic 10 Second Team for the second straight year,  as well as being on the Academic All Conference Team, and a member of the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Third Team... for the third straight year the midfielder was named to the OCSA All-Ohio Second Team and he received a selection to the OCSA Academic All-Ohio First Team with a 3.6 GPA in Business and Entrepreneurship… was tabbed Offensive Player of the Year on a Flyer’s offense that led the A-10 in points (119) and was second in goals per game with a 1.95 average… also named to the A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for Fall 2009.

Became one of the most decorated players in UD men's soccer history with his achievements on the pitch and in the classroom...first-ever Flyer to be named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List...lived up to his billing, leading UD with 10 goals scored...tacked on three assists for 23 points, tied for the team lead and sixth-best in the Atlantic 10...his .45 goals per game was fourth in the A-10 and one of the tops in the NCAA...throughout the season was named to three all-tournament teams: Dayton Flyer Marriott Invitational in which he scored his first goal in the season-opener against Denver (Aug. 29), Wisconsin Middleton Sports & Fitness Invitational where he scored two goals in the championship game in a 3-3 double overtime tie against the host Badgers, and the UNCW Courtyard by Marriott Invitational... also tallied two goals in Dayton's A-10 wins over Richmond (Oct. 10), La Salle (Oct. 26) and Saint Joseph's (Nov. 2)... named A-10 Player of the Week for Oct. 13 after scoring two goals in Dayton's 4-3 win against Richmond and a goal and the game-winning assist in the Flyers' 3-1 victory over George Washington...again named Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week and named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week for Oct. 27 after scoring two goals against La Salle and dishing out the game-winning assist against Fordham...had a goal and an assist in 3-1 win over George Washington (Oct. 12)...UD's Co-Offensive Player of the Year, he posted 7 goals and 2 assists in A-10 play, tying him for first in points (16), goals and goals per game (.78) in Conference-only games...for his efforts on the pitch he was named NSCAA/adidas All-Mid Atlantic Region Second Team, All-Atlantic 10 Second Team and All-Ohio by the OSCAA...for his academic success he was named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Second Team and selected to the NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-America Team...also one of 11 players tabbed to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team...was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for Spring 2009...18 career goals put him 13th all-time on Dayton's career scoring list.
2007
Enjoyed a breakout campaign as a midfielder...started all 19 games and led the Flyers in scoring with 17 points on six goals and five assists...recorded one game-winning goal...earned a First Team, All-Atlantic 10 selection, the only sophomore in the 2007 class...also earned a First Team selection on the 2007 NSCAA/adidas Division I All-Region, Mid-Atlantic Team...named a First Team All-Ohio selection by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Coaches...finished tied for 10th in the A-10 in points per game at 0.89 and tied for eighth in goals per game...began the year with an assist over Sacramento State...added a goal in a victory against St. Francis (Pa.)...scored a goal versus Davidson...recorded the game-tying goal in an eventual win at Butler...dished out the assist on a game-winning goal at Wright State...tallied a game-winning goal and an assist in a victory over Oakland...added a goal at Rhode Island...came back to add a goal and set up the eventual game-winner at La Salle...dished out an assist in a victory against Saint Joseph's...named the team's Most Valuable Player.
2006
Torda started all 12 games in which he played...the midfielder took 16 shots with two goals and an assist all coming against IUPUI...earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors for the week of Sept. 4-10...was named to the all-Dayton Flyer Marriott Classic team.
Prior to UD
Torda was named to the All-State and All-District First teams in both his junior and senior years...district Most Valuable Player during his senior year...named the District Offensive Player of the Year during his junior season...also named to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram All-Area team...Dallas Cup quarterfinalist in 2005 and 2006...also played for DFW Tejanos '88 Boys team...graduated Magna Cum Laude and received a Math award.

Son of Jay and Fran Torda and has a younger brother Jeff and a sister Jackie who plays soccer at TCU...born February 9, 1988...majoring in entrepreneurship and finance...enjoys spending time with family and friends.
