Sally Kosters

Head coach Sally Kosters is in her 14th season at the helm of the Dayton women's golf team in 2019-20.

An LPGA professional, Kosters brings more to the team more than just golf. She was a top performer at AT&T, ran her own business, and earned a bachelor's of science degree from Iowa State, a master's degree from Drake University and a MBA from New York University.
Off the course Dayton's academic success continued as eight team members were named to the 2014-15 MAAC Honor Roll. Previously that season, six of the 10 members of the women's golf team earned Dean's List honors following the spring 2014 semester. The Flyers posted a 3.505 team grade point average this past spring and continue to be one of UD's top performing teams academically.

The 2014-15 season took the UD women's golf team to a new level as Kosters led the team in its inaugural MAAC Championship Tournament where the Flyers finished in 5th place and two team members were named to the 2015 All-MAAC Team.

In all of her seasons as head coach at UD, Kosters has proven to be a strong leader for the women's golf team both on and off the course.
Kosters continues to draw new coaching ideas from participation in programs such as the renowned LPGA "Coaching Future Stars" seminars conducted by Pia Nilsson -- Annika Sorenstam's coach of 17 years, Rudy Duran -- Tiger Woods' youth coach, along with acclaimed sport psychologists and golf kinesiologists. In pursuit of her golf career, Coach Kosters played extensively and took lessons from a large variety of instructors across the US, Australia, and New Zealand.

Prior to her golf career, Kosters worked 12 years for AT&T, designing and managing new products and had a $6 billion P&L responsibility. She was a member and served on the board of the "Council of Leaders," AT&T's top two percent in performance.

For 10 years she successfully owned and operated a start-up business, "The Oldwick Spa," one of the earliest businesses of its kind on the East Coast. She started her work life as a rehabilitation counselor at The Iowa Women's Reformatory.

Familiar with the world of academics, Kosters earned an MBA from New York University, an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from Drake University, and a BS in Psychology from Iowa State University.
