Miles serves as a volunteer assistant coach on the University of Dayton women's rowing staff.
Miles previously served as head coach at UD from 1999-2003, earning Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year honors in 2002. During his tenure, he coached UD hall of famer Bernadette Marten Teely.
Miles also served as the head coach of the Dayton Boat Club from 2004-2017 with 10 top-10 national finishes. He has also worked with DBC high school crews and coached current U.S. national team member Molly Bruggeman.
Miles received his bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University.
Miles is married to assistant rowing coach Trish Miles and has four children, Madeline, Patrick, Matthew, and Bridget.
