Biography
2011-12
Hocin has raced with the V8+ and a V4 at Head of the Rock in Rockford, Ill., and at Head of the Eagle in Indianapolis. She also coxed the V4+ A at the Speakmon Regatta in Columbus.
2010-11
Competed in numerous events for the Flyers during the season, primarily with the Varsity 4. Some of her major races were the Speakmon Regatta in Columbus, the Head of the Eagle in Indianapolis, and the Atlantic 10 Championship in Cherry Hill.
2009-10
Hocin served as a coxswain and also a member of Dayton's Varsity 4 throughout most of the year. Two of her most competitive races were the Atlantic 10 Championship and the South Central Sprints.
2008-09
Hocin was a novice coxswain during the 08-09 season. She coxed the Novice A-boat which took 2nd at the Atlantic 10 Championship. Her Novice 8+ also made it to semi-finals at 2009 Dad Vail Regatta.
Personal
In high school, Hocin was involved in soccer and the dance team. At UD, she is majoring to be an Intervention Specialist (Special Education Teacher) and will graduate in the spring. On campus, she is also the Vice President of SEAT (Students for Effective Autism Treatment), and has been recognized as a Scholar Athlete for the past two years.
