2009-2010
Ashley followed a tremendous 2008-2009 season with an equally spectacular one as she was named Atlantic 10 Student Athlete of the Year for outdoor track and field. Cattran put an exclamation point on the tail end of her season with her school record time of 4:26.6 in the 1,500-meter event at A-10’s. She placed second in that event and also scored another runner-up finish in the 800-meter run, where she recorded a time of 2:10.81. The mid-distance specialist also ran a leg on UD’s fifth-place 4x400 relay foursome at the conference championships. She also qualified for the NCAA Regional Meet in the 1,500 meter run. She finished the year with the fourth fastest 800 meter run time of anyone in the conference with her time of 2:10.05 at the Akron Invite. Cattran has a total of seven individual conference medals to her credit. She earned Atlantic 10 Performer of the week for the week of 1/18. Also was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioners Honor Roll as well as a member of ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Team. In addition, Cattran was the Atlantic 10’s Student Athlete of the Year.
2008-2009
(INDOOR) Competed in the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston, Mass., running a 2:07.26 in the 800 meter run. Qualified for and competed in the NCAA National Indoor Track and Field Championship in the 800 meter run, finishing 12th overall (2:07.43)... Had six individual first place finishes for the Flyers... Competed in the 400 meter dash one time during the season, running a first place time of 56.85 at the Kent State Invitational. ... In the 800 meter run, ran the new school record time of 2:07.34 at the Akron Zips Invitational, setting a new Stile Field House record...Became the Atlantic 10 Championship 800 meter run champion with a new meet record time of 2:11.78...At the Findlay Classic, took third place with a time of 2:08.54... Cattran was also a member of the 4x800 relay team that finished second at the Atlantic 10 Championship (9:13.06)... That same relay team also ran a meet record time of 9:13.60 at the Findlay Classic.
(OUTDOOR) Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Mideast Regional Championship in the 800 meter dash... Broke the school record three times in the 800 meter dash... Posted a season best time and best time for a Flyer of 2:08.07 at the All-Ohio Championships, placing second... Ran a 2:12.55 at the Pepsi Florida Relays...Took fifth place at the Atlantic 10 Championship (2:13.77)... Also debuted in the 1500 meter run...Broke the school record at the Atlantic 10 Championship for fourth place (4:30.30) and at the Miami Invitational (4:34.60)... Was a member of the 4x800 meter relay team that took second place at the Atlantic 10 Championship with a time of 8:55.04, smashing the school record.
2007-2008
(INDOOR) Opened the season with a school record and career best in the 300 meter dash (42.40) finishing fourth at the Oiler Open...Took home gold in the 400 meter dash (57.53) finishing first at the Findlay Classic...Placed fourth at the Atlantic 10 Championship in the 400 meter dash (58.20)...Recorded a career best in the 500 meter run (1:16.81) finishing first at the ONU Friday Night Series...Competed in the 400 meter dash three times and holds the top three times for a Flyer during the indoor season...Finished fourth or higher in every race during the season.
(OUTDOOR) In the five times she competed in the 400 meter dash she finished third or better in every race but one...Recorded a career best in the 400 meter dash (56.08) at the All-Ohio Championship, good for third...Won gold in the 400 meter (57.53) at the Miami University Team Challenge...Finished ninth in the 400 meter (57.66) at the A-10 Championship.
High School
Named team MVP in 2006 and 2007...Received All-League honors in each of her four years...Division II 4x800 State Champion in 2004 and 2007...Division II 400m State Champion in 2007.
Personal
Daughter of Mark Cattran and Chris Mauro...Has four siblings: Christina (18), Samantha (21), Maddie (9), and Makenzie (8)...Majoring in Premedicine and intends to become a doctor.
