After taking a week off to focus on semester exams, the Flyers return to action with three games in six days this week. Dayton begins the stretch at Long Island on Saturday in a 2 p.m. tipoff.

UD has won its last two games including a 67-59 decision over Cleveland State on Friday at UD Arena.

In a game between two of the top three-point shooting teams in the nation, Jennifer Strong connected on four treys for a season-high 19 points to lead the Flyers over the Vikings. Strong was 6-of-12 from the field and 4-for-9 from behind the arc to lead four Dayton players that reached double figures in scoring.

"Jennifer (Strong) was selective tonight and has been working very hard to understand what a good shot is and tonight she showed that understanding." UD Head Coach Jim Jabir commented. "She is beginning to make good decisions and play to her ability."

Senior forward Cara Wright finished with her third double-double of the season and her second straight with 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Sophomores Kiki Lund and Karah Cloxton added 10 points a piece as they each drained two shots from three-point range.

Wright was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after recording her conference leading second and third double-doubles. In addition to her 11 points and 14 rebounds against the Vikings, the Preseason First Team All-10 pick also tallied 13 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks versus Wright State.

Dayton is among the nation's leaders in three-point shooting and assists per game this season as a team. As of Dec. 12, The Flyers ranked 49th nationally in three-point field goal percentage (now .372) and fourth in the Atlantic 10 Conference. UD leads the A-10 and ranks 37th in assists per game (now 16.8).

The Flyers have shot 30 percent or better from behind the arc in five of their first six games this season. UD hit on 8-of-14 three-point shots for a season-best 61.5 percent shooting in a 80-57 win over Loyola. Dayton leads the Atlantic 10 by hitting at least one trey in 136 consecutive games dating back to Jan 2, 2001.
