PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Atlantic 10 Conference held its annual basketball preseason media day at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh Tuesday and announced the preseason poll and all-conference teams.
The University of Dayton women's basketball team was predicted to finish fifth in the preseason poll after receiving 123 votes. Richmond earned nine first-place votes and was chosen as the preseason favorite by A-10 coaches, followed by George Mason (four first-place votes), Davidson (one), and Rhode Island.
UD was tabbed to finish ahead of Saint Joseph's, VCU, Duquesne, Saint Louis, and George Washington to round out the Top 10.
Graduate student
Nicole Stephens was named Third Team Preseason All-Atlantic 10 after appearing in all 30 games last year with 25 starts, 6.5 points per game, and was CSC Academic All-District in 2024-25. She will be the most-experienced and veteran leader on the Dayton squad this season that brought in four newcomers.
The Flyers were 18-13 overall last season and finished sixth in the A-10 standings after being picked to place 11
th in the league. UD has improved its win total by five or more each season in head coach
Tamika Williams-Jeter's tenure. The Dayton native is entering her fourth season at the helm.
