Results

The UD women's tennis earned 6th place at the Atlantic 10 Tournament this morning and brought home six Commissioner Cup Points. This is the Flyers' second 6th place win, tying the school's best women's tennis finish ever in the tournament.

The Flyers lost to George Washington with a score of 4-1.

The team earned its one point during doubles play. Senior Erin Kirkland (Dayton, OH) and senior Courtney McDowell (Centerville, OH) joined forces to defeat Anastasia Skavronskaia and Kendall Swenson 8-6. Securing the doubles point was win by freshman Allysa Detroy (Evansville, IN) and sophomore Kara Metzger (Franksville, WI) over Anne Watkins and Michelle Alexander 8-3.

The Flyers finished the season with the A-10 Tournament. The team's record moved to 14-8 on the season and its 2004-05 record to 14-10.
