The women's tennis team followed up Saturday's victory over Oakland with a 5-2 loss against the University of Detroit in Rochester Hills, MI. Junior Allysa Detroy and sophomore Nikki Dzubay each earned a singles win in the match for the Flyers. UD dropped to 1-9 on the season with the loss.
After losing the doubles point, Detroy and Dzubay came out strong in their singles contests with a pair of straight-set wins. Detroy defeated Aneta Maricevic 6-3, 6-2 victory at #2 singles for her team-leading fifth win this season.
Dzubay's 7-5, 6-3 victory at #4 singles over Kelly Davis gave Dayton its second point.
UD is back in action Friday, March 2 against Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. Match time versus the Vikings is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
