FULL COURT PRESS - KAYLA MOSES

Oct. 15, 2008

With three days before the start of practice and nearly a month before the start of the 2008-2009 season, DaytonFlyers.com will sit down with the newest members of the University of Dayton women's basketball team to get to know the Flyer freshmen a little better. The series, called Full Court Press, will introduce each of the seven freshmen. In today's edition, DaytonFlyers.com features Kayla Moses.

Kayla Moses attended Scott County High School in Georgetown, Kentucky where she led her high school team to 16 wins and the Regional Semifinals in the 2007-2008 season. The point guard averaged 21.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg, and 3.1 apg and shot nearly 76 percent from the foul line. She finished her career with 1,178 points.

Selected as Third Team All-State by the Courier Journal as a senior, Kayla earned All-Tournament honors at the District and Regional Tournaments last year.

This National Beta Club member was also a McDonald's All-American Nominee and was named to the All-11th Region Team.

What motivates you to get up in the morning? on the court?
GOD. Knowing that I have a good life.

Who is your role model? Why?
My whole family is my role model, I don't have one particular one. They are all my models in their own special way.

It would be cool to study different species in the ocean like a Marine Biologist, I love dolphins.

If you could have dinner with any three people in the world (living or deceased) who would they be?
Probably Cynthia Cooper, Martin Luther King, and Chris Brown!!
