JUSTINE RATERMAN NAMED A-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – University of Dayton’s Justine Raterman was selected as the Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Player the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Raterman was named the Most Valuable Player of the Minnesota Subway Classic after leading the Flyers to the title with wins over South Dakota (78-56) on Nov. 20 and the host Golden Gophers (97-81) on Nov. 21. 

The junior forward scored 16 points in the opening game against the Coyotes, adding a career-high four steals and five rebounds.

The Versailles, Ohio, native then drained 21 points on 7-for-9 shooting at Minnesota, while grabbing six rebounds.

For the weekend she averaged 18.5 points and shot an astounding 72 percent from the field, including .750 from three-point range (6-of-8). Raterman was also a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line and played a team-high 53 minutes over the weekend.

She is averaging 20.5 points per game and shooting .588 on the season.
