FLYER MEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE RELEASED


DAYTON, Ohio – Head Coach Dennis Currier announced the University of Dayton men's soccer schedule recently. The defending Atlantic 10 Champion Flyers will play 18 games during the regular season, including eight home matches at Baujan Field.

The Flyers enjoyed an 8-1 record at home last season and are 25-1-3 on their home turf since Oct. 28, 2006. Admission is free to all regular season Flyer games at Baujan Field.

After opening with exhibition matches against Butler (Aug. 20) and Kentucky (Aug. 23) at Baujan Field, UD starts the regular season on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at Cincinnati. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Gettler Stadium.

The Flyers will host the Dayton Marriott Classic Sept. 3 and Sept. 5 at Baujan Field with matches against IPFW and Western Michigan.

UD then begins a four-game road swing; the Flyers will take on UW-Milwaukee (Sept. 17) and Wisconsin (Sept. 19) in Madison, Wisc. in the Wisconsin Soccer Classic. The swing will then take them to Edwardsville, Ill. where UD will take on SIUE on Sept. 24 and UMKC on Sept. 26 in the SIUE Men's Soccer Classic.

The Flyers host Oakland in a mid-week match on Sept. 29 and then take on Canisius on Sunday, Oct. 3 at Baujan Field, before opening A-10 play.

Dayton begins its quest to defend the Atlantic 10 title on the road, facing Rhode Island (Oct. 8) and Massachusetts (Oct. 10) in the first weekend of conference action.

UD then has a four-game home stand at Baujan Field which features matches against Temple (Oct. 15), Saint Joseph’s (Oct. 17), Duquesne (Oct. 22) and St. Bonaventure (Oct. 24).
The Flyers close out conference play on the road, at Xavier (Oct. 30), at Fordham (Nov. 5) and at La Salle (Nov. 7).

The Atlantic 10 Men’s Soccer Championship will be held Nov. 11-14 in Charlotte, N.C. at TransAmerica Field.
