TOP 25 Ranking!!!
Wow what a great day to be a Flyer. Waking up to text messages saying "hey guess what, you guys made the top 25" was probably the most rewarding feeling that I've had in a long time. We've been working so hard and it's great to see our work finally pay off.   

The game versus Vanderbilt on Sunday had a lot to do with our recent ranking. We knew we had a tough opponent on our hands (ranked #13) but our game plan was right on point and we knew that if we executed it as we were told, things would work out.

Before the game, like many others, we were very loose and cracking jokes as always. But this time, the joke was on freshman Jodie Cornelie. Before every pregame meal, we have our scout quiz. This is a time where our coach quizzes us on player personnel and team tendencies. Well, I don't know if Jodie didn't study or not or maybe she got her players mixed up but when we got to one particular player she froze up. She started making up tendencies and it got to the point where most of us started checking our scouts to see if we had studied correctly. The funniest part about this whole thing was that instead of her saying I have no clue about this player, she starting saying "I'm not quite sure how you say this word in English," totally blaming it on English being her second language. It was hilarious and it was nice that we all could laugh about it afterwards.

The great thing about it was that Jodie had the game of her life. She was huge for us and without her major contributions, we don't beat Vanderbilt. So maybe she doesn't need to stress over knowing everything on the scout like everyone else does.

What a great day to be a Flyer :)
