FORMER MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER JOINS UD'S BOARD OF TRUSTEES

DAYTON, OH -Former University of Dayton men’s soccer player, Mike Ruffolo, has been named to the University’s board of trustees.

“It is both a thrill and an honor to be able to give back to the University of Dayton as a Board Trustee,” Ruffolo said. “There is no other place on the planet like UD and I am proud to be a Flyer.”

Ruffolo, the current CEO and president of Crossbeam Systems, a market leader in information security infrastructure, in Boxborough, Massachusetts was announced to the board in Sept. 2012. He brings more than 25 years of experience in global sales and marketing, professional services, operations and information technology management.

While pursuing a degree in marketing from the University of Dayton, Ruffolo played soccer under Coach Bob Richardson (1978-1979) and Coach Jerry Butcher (1980-1981).

“Personally, I have many great memories of the camaraderie, teamwork and lasting friendships that came from playing on the UD Soccer team and many intramural sports teams,” Ruffolo said. “The lessons learned on and off the field have positively impacted my life and my career and I am deeply appreciative. Go Flyers!”

Ruffolo graduated summa cum laude in 1982 from the University of Dayton and earned his M.B.A. from Harvard University.
