NO. 15/14 DAYTON CLOSES NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE AT BOWLING GREEN

The No. 15/14 University of Dayton women's basketball team (12-0) takes on Bowling Green (8-3) this Sunday, Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. ET at the Stroh Center. The game will be broadcast on WHIO 95.7 FM and AM 1290 with Tom Michaels (play-by-play) and Monica West (analyst).

It is the third road matchup of a four-game road swing for the Flyers. A win over the Falcons would give UD its first-ever, undefeated non-conference season in school history. Bowling Green is running a special $1 Day promotion which includes $1 tickets for admission and $1 hot dogs for the Falcons vs. Flyers women's basketball game.

SERIES INFO
- This is the 25th meeting between Dayton and Bowling Green. The Falcons lead the series 13-11and are 4-3 when hosting UD. The series dates back to March 8, 1969 when the Flyers won 50-38.
- Dayton won the last meeting 69-38 in last year's season opener, Nov. 11, 2011 at UD Arena. Ally Malott had 13 points in her Flyer debut. Prior to that victory, BG had won the last 5 games.

LAST TIME OUT
- Six Flyers scored in double figures in Dayton's 91-53 win over Siena Dec. 22. With the victory UD improved to 12-0, tying its best start in program history (UD also started the 1983-84 season 12-0). Ally Malott paced UD with 19 points. Kelley Austria and Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova scored 11 each. Olivia Applewhite, Cassie Sant and Andrea Hoover each had 10 points for the Flyers. The 38-point margin of victory is the second highest for the Flyers this season.

- No. 15/14 Dayton (12-0) is 1 of 7 teams in NCAA D-I Women's Basketball this is still unbeaten this season: Colorado, Connecticut, Dayton, Duke, Georgia, Oklahoma State, Stanford.

- No. 15 in the AP Top 25 and No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches Poll are both program bests for the Flyers. Dayton's RPI is currently 6.

- The 12 consecutive victories marks the longest winning streak for the Flyers since the 2006-07 season when UD rattled off 16 consecutive wins.

- The Flyers lead the Atlantic 10 in scoring offense (82.6), scoring margin (+22.4), free throw percentage (.765), field goal percentage (.456), rebounding offense (47.8 avg/g), rebounding margin (+11.5), assists (19.4) assist/turnover ratio (1.2), defensive rebounds (32.5 avg/g), and 3-point FG made per game (7.8).

- Senior Sam MacKay, who earned her first collegiate start in UD's season opener this year, leads the A-10 in assist/turnover ratio (2.2) and is tied for the league lead in assists with 67. She notched her first career double-double with 13 points and a career-high 10 assists against Akron on Dec. 18.

- Dayton has won three in-season tournaments and had a different MVP in each: Maggie Dixon Classic (MVP: freshman Amber Deane), Dayton Marriott Classic (MVP: sophomore Ally Malott), Arizona State Classic (MVP: senior Sam MacKay).

- Dayton had a representative for the first four weeks of the A-10 weekly honors: First week Amber Deane was named Rookie of the Week, followed by Andrea Hoover being named Player of the Week, then Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova named ROTW, and senior Sam MacKay earning POTW.

- The Flyers have five players averaging nearly 10.0 ppg: sophomore Ally Malott (13.8), sophomore Andrea Hoover (12.1), senior Sam MacKay (11.0), junior Cassie Sant (9.8) and freshman Amber Deane (9.8). Six different Flyers have led UD in single-game scoring this season in 10 games.

UP NEXT
Dayton's conference opener is at Butler (Jan. 12) -- three busloads -- approximately 150 Flyer fans -- will make the trip to Hinkle Fieldhouse courtesy of Dayton women's basketball.  Dayton doesn't return to UD Arena until its home conference opener against La Salle on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. (39 days since its last game at home vs. Michigan State on Dec. 8).
