WOMEN'S TENNIS HEADS TO BALL STATE INVITATIONAL

The University of Dayton women’s tennis team kicks off its fall season with the Ball State Invitational this weekend in Muncie, Indiana.

Leading the way for the Flyers this fall will be sophomore Sammi Hornbarger. The St. Louis, Missouri native is coming off a 10-8 spring season in 2012. Joining her this fall will be juniors Erin Filbrandt, Claire McNulty, and Maureen Stevens. Fellow sophomores Georgia Lammers and Victoria Marchant as well as newcomers Carly Peck and Katie Boeckman round out the Flyers fall roster and will all be making the trip to Muncie.

The Flyers will face opponents from: Ball State, Chicago State, Cleveland State, Illinois State, IPFW, IUPUI, Louisville, Miami of Ohio, Valparaiso, and Wright State University. The two-day event consists of five draws of 16 singles and two doubles draws of eight teams.
